On French and understanding - March 13th 2012

I think that people who study French do it purely because they love the language. In my case, I first had to study English when I was little because my parents made me do that. Then I fell in love with this language and I don't feel bad about having to study it first. Now, after becoming advanced in English, I began to study French because I've always wanted to do it. I love it. I love the way it sounds, I love how I think in French. It's completely different from the way I think in English, and miles apart different from the way I think in Spanish.

And a lot of people around my age study French too. They all know English, and there's this guy who knows German too. It's like: now you can learn any language you want. He once said in the class that learning French was like learning to use a weapon. Languages are like secret weapons. You can understand almost everything. Understanding feels really good.

Paris, Je t'aime.

I'm sick, I'm high
I'm alone in my room.
There's no one else inside,
nothing to hide.
It's only me, no demonds, tonight.
I imagine the real colors of the sky
Some green, some white,
some white, some green,
Forgive me for what I bring.
Green like the hospital
I'm dying as I write this line.

"Sit and listen to you talk. Then who knows, whatever you want"
